Robbers of Liquor Store Come Up Empty

At about 9:19 PM on April 3rd, 2014 the Raytown Police were called to a grocery store in the 9400 block of 350 highway on an attempted robbery of the liquor department. Employees of the store told the officer that a skinny, light-skinned black male, about 5 foot 9 inches tall wearing an orange hooded sweater came into the store with a hand gun. A second slightly more muscular built black male, wearing a grey hooded sweater with a Nike emblem on it, black pants with a thick, white stripe down the sides came in shortly afterwards. The first man demanded money from the employee. The second man then began to move behind the counter. Both men ran out of the store to the north with nothing taken. No one was injured during the attempted robbery. If you know either of the men in these photographs please contact the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477) or the Raytown Police Department at 816-737-6020.
