Officers Confront Home Invaders

At approximately 9:41 PM Raytown officers responded to a residential burglar alarm in the 6200 block of Ralston. When the officers arrived they found two men inside the house. When the officers confronted the men, one of them pointed a hand gun at the officers. One of the officers fired once and struck one subject in the abdomen. The man that was struck was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the other was taken into custody. The officers were not injured. The officer involved was placed on leave while the investigation continues.
