No major injuries in apartment complex fire 

Raytown, MO – Emergency crews were called to the 7400 block of Overton Avenue Saturday afternoon, 06-10-2017, at around 4:22 P.M., in regard to an apartment complex that had caught fire. Raytown Police were the first on scene. Several officers entered the burning complex to make sure residents were safe. Moments later, emergency and fire crews from Raytown and the Kansas City Fire Department arrived on scene to clear the apartment complex. It was determined that there were no major injuries to any people or pets. One Raytown Police Officer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. 

The American Red Cross arrived on scene to provide aid to those who were affected by the incident. There were approximately twelve apartment units that were damaged due to the fire. Fire investigators are currently investigating the cause of the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
