Police Seek Information on Two Series of Property Damage
Raytown, MO –Police are seeking information on two series of property damage, in which vehicles were damaged.
The first series occurred in and around the area of the apartments in the 8600 block of Utopia. Those incidents occurred overnight from 06-12-17 to the early morning of 06-13-17. Approximately 14 separate reports were made, in which vehicle windows were broken. In some cases, items were stolen from the vehicles.
One witness described the suspect as a black male, approximately 18-19 years old, large build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a black hoodie with a lime green Nike logo on the front, dark pants, and black shoes.
The second series occurred south of 79 Street, with most near the area of 84 Street and Booth. Those incidents occurred from 06-16-17 to 06-18-17. Approximately 13 separate reports were made, in which vehicle windows were broken or painted with spray paint. In some cases, items were stolen from the vehicles.
A neighbor in the second series saw two white male juveniles in the area carrying paint cans in their hands. The first juvenile was approximately 14-15 years of age, approximately 5’8″ tall, heavy set with long curly dirty blonde hair wearing a t-shirt and jeans. The second juvenile was described as 14-15 years of age, approximately 5’8″ tall with a thin build, short hair and dressed in a t-shirt and jeans. Each was carrying a spray paint can.
An investigation is underway. Police are asking anyone that sees anything suspicious, especially someone with a spray paint can, to call the police immediately at either 9-1-1, or 816-737-6020.
