Police Called to Sound of Shot Fired, No Victim Found

Raytown, MO – Raytown Police were called to a residence in the 5300 block of Willow on Friday morning, 08-04-17, at about 6:45 am, regarding a disturbance, where a gunshot was heard. The caller advised that an adult white female entered the residence of an ex-boyfriend and arguing was heard inside. Moments later, a shot was heard, and then an adult white male exited the house with a gun and left the area. The caller did not see the female exit the residence. Officers arrived and the Raytown SWAT team was called to the scene.

Officers entered the home to render aid to the female, who was believed to be inside. The female was not located. Officers found no signs of someone being injured.

Detectives continue to investigate with no one in custody and no charges filed.
