Armed Robbery Video Released

Armed Robbery Video Released

Raytown, MO-Police have released new video of an armed robbery that occurred this morning, 08-09-17, at about 7:45 a.m., at the Phillips 66 gas station, 8111 E. 87 Street. A black male entered the store with a handgun and took money and condoms. As he tried to leave the clerk locked the doors. The suspect fired multiple shots into the front doors and shouldered the door open. No one was struck by the bullets. The suspect was last seen running south on foot. It is believed that there was an accomplice nearby, who did not enter the store.

Police Release Tutorial of Many Crime Information Sources

Raytown, MO – Raytown Police released a video tutorial today, 08-08-17, which explains the many methods, which have been in place for years, that citizens and business people alike can learn about crime in the city. The simplest way to ask a question is to click the “Contact Us” button on the Raytown Police website. Although sites are not monitored 24/7, all incoming questions and messages are reviewed daily. All of the above resources have a way for anyone to ask a question or request information.

 Police Release New Suspect Photos in Series of Victimized Businesses

 Raytown, MO – The Raytown Police have released surveillance photos of two crimes involving businesses. Overnight, from the night of 07-27-17 to the morning of 07-28-17, Raytown businesses were victimized, either by robbery or burglary. The photos were just obtained by the police within the last 24 hours.

The following business was robbed on the night of 07-27-17:

17-2563           Pizza Hut, 10015 E. 67 Street-Two black males with guns entered the store at 10:15 p.m. and took an undisclosed amount of money. They fled the scene. Two surveillance photos are attached to this release.

The following businesses were burglarized overnight, from 07-27-17 to 07-28-17. The entry method was breaking the glass on the front of the stores and property was taken.

17-2565           Lutfi’s Fried Fish, 6633 Raytown Road

17-2566           MaMa China, 6623 Raytown Road

17-2571           Omaha Tropical Market, 6639 Raytown Road-A single suspect entered the store at about 3:45 am and took property. A surveillance photo is attached to this release.

17-2569           Westlake, 10130 E. 350 Highway- At about 5:04 a.m., two white males attempted to break the front glass, but no entry was made. The suspect vehicle was a dark PT Cruiser. Surveillance video is not available for release at this time.

An investigation is underway. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about any of these crimes is asked to call the TIPS Hotline, at 816-474-8477 (TIPS.)
